Irrigation Fall Shutdown

New Hampshire winters are brutal, and they can wreak havoc on your irrigation system if not properly winterized. Fall Shut-Down protects your irrigation system from the harmful effects of the cold winter weather. Irrigation Damage Prevention Service

Damage Prevention

Winterizing your irrigation system reduces the risk that water will freeze in the irrigation valves, pipes and sprinkler heads. If water freezes and expands it may cause parts of your system to burst-destroying your sprinkler system.

Irrigation Blowout Services by Firmly Rooted

Blowout Service

It’s best to leave it to the professionals when preparing your system for New Hampshire’s frigid temps. We use an industrial grade air compressor to “blow out” all pipes, valves, sprinkler heads and associated components.

Irrigation Winter Ready Services

Winter Ready

Once all the water has been expelled, we will thoroughly examine your system, including the pipes, valves, and anything else regarding your system that might need attending to, to prepare for winter.

Order of Operation Matters

We’ll begin winterizing sprinkler systems at the beginning of October. We continue through to the end of November before the weather gets too cold.

Our technicians bring out industrial grade air compressors which makes it easier to remove all the water. Our step-by-step winterizing process:

1. We will notify you when begin blowouts and ask you to turn off the water
2. Connect the air compressor to your system
3. Introduce the compressed air in to the system at the correct pressure and volume
4. Open and close your backflow preventer valves to evacuate all the water
5. Time to turn off your controller and remove battery
6. Turn off the controller and remove battery

Leave Winterizing Irrigation Systems to the Pros

The beautiful New Hampshire fall season can make winter seem far away. But often the snow begins to fall before the final leaves hit the ground. Before winter hits, let us professionally winterize your irrigation system. Here’s why it’s best to bring in the pros:

Saves You Money
Winterizing your system on your own can be tricky. A mistake when trying to drain the system could cost you a lot more in the long run than hiring us to complete the job.

Saves You Time
We can get the job done quickly and correctly, leaving you with more time to enjoy the fall weather and prepare for winter.

We Have the Equipment
To properly winterize an irrigation system, every drop of water has to be blown out of the pipes and heads. We use an industrial grade air compressor to ensure that the entire system is free from water before the ground freezes.
